– State Senator Lisa M. Boscola
announced today that the
Commonwealth Financing Authority
(CFA) awarded the Pocono Mountains
Industrial Park Authority a
PennWorks grant in the amount of
$2,000,000 and a loan in the amount
of $3,000,000.
“With the help of
CFA, there is the ability for the
state to partner in a local
initiative to improve the quality of
life in our community,” Boscola
said. “It is the support of
agencies such as the CFA that assist
local businesses approve their
competitiveness.”
The Pocono Mountains
Industrial Park Authority will be
using the funds for water and sewer
improvements to support the
development of the Penn Regional
Business Center located in
Smithfield Township, Monroe County.
“I am always pleased
when state funds find their way to
our communities – we all stand to
benefit.”
The Commonwealth
Financing Authority (CFA) was
established as an independent agency
of the Commonwealth to administer
Pennsylvania's economic stimulus
packages. The CFA holds fiduciary
responsibility over the funding of
programs and investments in
Pennsylvania's economic growth.
