HARRISBURG (JAN 16) -
State
Senator Lisa Boscola has once again
been named Democratic Chair of the
Senate Consumer Protection and
Professional Licensure Committee.
“I’m
proud to chair this committee, which
protects Pennsylvanians from scams
like price gouging, while providing
oversight to the regulating of
public utilities and assuring proper
licensing for a variety of
occupations, like funeral directors,
barbers, doctors and architects,”
Boscola said.
Senator Boscola was
first named to the Consumer
Protection and Professional
Licensure Committee following taking
the oath of office for State Senate
in January 1999.
Boscola’s other committee
assignments include Appropriations,
Banking and Insurance, Game and
Fisheries, Judiciary and Policy.
“Committees look at issues and work
in a bipartisan effort to produce
the best possible legislation for
Pennsylvanians before these bills go
to the Senate floor for a vote,”
Boscola said. “I look forward to
working with my fellow Senators to
create the best solutions for both
my district and the entire state.”
As
always, Senator Boscola welcomes her
constituents to contact her to offer
input, obtain information on bills
and government services, and for her
assistance.
Senator
Boscola maintains three district
offices in Bethlehem 610-868-8667,
Whitehall 610-266-2117 or
Stroudsburg 570-420-2938 to serve
the needs of the residents of the 18th
Senatorial District.
