HARRISBURG, November 17, 2010 – – The state Senate Democratic Caucus today selected state Sen. Lisa Boscola to serve as Caucus Administrator for the 2011-12 session.

“It is a great honor and privilege to be selected to fill this crucial leadership post,” Boscola said. “Because I represent a district growing in population, I will bring a fresh perspective and a unique experience to our caucus – providing a stronger voice for the residents of my district in Harrisburg.”

Boscola was re-elected to her fourth term as state senator earlier this month. She replaces state Sen. Christine Tartaglione of Philadelphia as Caucus Administrator.

As Caucus Administrator, Boscola will have her voice heard in integral caucus meetings and be directly involved in caucus scheduling, as well as policy negotiations.

A life-long resident of the Lehigh Valley, Boscola currently serves as Democratic Chair of the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee. She also serves as a member of the powerful Appropriations Committee, as well as the Judiciary, Banking and Insurance, Transportation and Game and Fisheries Committees.

Prior to her election to the General Assembly, Senator Boscola served as Deputy Court Administrator with Northampton County. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Villanova University.
