January 14, 2013 — Pennsylvania state Sen. Lisa Boscola wants public school employees convicted of selling or having drugs on school grounds to lose their pension and be subject to stiffer mandatory jail time.

The proposed law is part of a package of seven bills that Boscola, D-Lehigh/Monroe/Northampton, has reintroduced in hopes that they will be acted on in the coming months in the state Senate.

“A task force was developed last year, because of (Jerry) Sandusky, to look into ways the commonwealth could do a better job of protecting children,” Boscola said, referencing the former Penn State football coach and convicted child molester. Continue Reading →
