Senator Boscola to Host Free Flu Vaccine Clinic in Monroe County
On November 10, 2010 ·
BETHLEHEM (NOV 10) – State Senator Lisa M. Boscola is proud to announce that she will be hosting a free flu shot clinic in collaboration with Pocono Medical Center. It will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Stroudsburg Borough Municipal Building, located at 700 Sarah Street, in Council Chambers from 10 a.m.-2pm.
“Getting a seasonal flu shot is one step to protect yourself from the numerous health complications related to the flu,” Boscola said. “Those at the highest risk during flu season are our seniors and those with lung disease or impaired immune systems.”
This clinic was organized in order to provide a free and convenient way for the residents of Monroe County and the Pocono Mountain region to take precautions to help keep themselves healthy this winter. The clinic is open to anyone 18 years and older.
“I urge citizens to take advantage of this opportunity to get a free flu shot and would also like to thank Pocono Medical Center for collaborating with me to make this event a reality,” Boscola added.
For questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Senator Boscola’s office at 570-420-2938 (Stroudsburg) or toll-free at 1-877-535-1818 (Bethlehem).
